15 Cars Controlled Due to Illegal Parking

Parking ban sanction amounting to Rp 500 thousand to the vehicles in the capital is apparently still unoptimal. Evidently, one day after raid, the motorists recklessly return to park haphazardly on Jalan Pemuda, Jalan Pramuka, and Jalan Balai Pustaka, East Jakarta. In such areas, the East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department ranks managed to net 15 vehicles

252 Illegal Parking Attendants Netted in North Jakarta

Head of Supervision and Control Section, East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Budi Sugiyantoro disclosed the raid is focused on Jalan Pemuda, Jalan Pramuka, Jalan Matraman Raya, Jalan Jatinegara Timur, Jalan Jatinegara Barat and Jalan Bekasi Raya. Although parking ans stop ban signs were installed, many motorists still park their vehicle in forbidden areas.

 

"Many people park their vehicle haphazardly at six points, even though we have repeatedly held raid. That's why we routinely do raid against illegal parking," he expressed, when he led the raid on Thursday (11/27) afternoon.

 

According to him, those 15 netted cars consist of 1 Avanza car AB 1812 LE parked on Jalan Balai Pustaka Rawamangun, immediately towed by officers to the Goods Transport Terminal and Pulogebang Pool. Then they also remove 4 tire valves of cars on Jalan Pemuda, gave a speeding ticket to 10 public transports type taxi and mikrolet in different sites, like on Jalan Pramuka, Jalan Matraman Raya, Jalan Jatinegara Timur, Jalan Jatinegara Barat and Jalan Bekasi Raya.

 

He promised to keep holding raid against parking illegal in 6 illegal parking-prone areas in order to minimize traffic congestion, especially at rush hour.
